A route to enjoy famous movie and music video costumes.
The seventh art has a beautiful relationship with fashion. Through costume design, stories have come to life on the big screen and even earned awards and important recognition for their teams.
Yes, fashion plays a fundamental role in the audiovisual entertainment industry. There are even music videos that have earned recognition among millions of people around the world thanks to specific garments. Does anyone forget the red jacket Michael Jackson wore in his "Thriller" music video or the iconic golden corset designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for Madonna? Probably not.
Today we have prepared a series of museums that open their doors to lovers of cinema, music and, of course, fashion, with a series of unmissable outfits that will allow you to relive that movie or music video firsthand. Have a good trip!

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures
Located in Los Angeles, it is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to cinematic artists. The space offers immersive experiences, exhibitions, and activity programs. Among the current exhibitions is “Color in Motion: Chromatic Explorations of Cinema,” a tour of iconic garments and accessories from different films that explore the role of color. You'll find everything from Dorothy's red shoes in The Wizard of Oz (1939) to Jack Nicholson's red jacket in The Shining (1980), as well as dozens more feature films.

National Museum of American History
A space dedicated to American popular culture, and fashion also has its place. Relevant pieces belonging to historical figures of the United States (from politicians to actresses) have been present in specific collections; some temporarily and others permanently. Here you will also find treasures including Abraham Lincoln's top hat and costumes from movies like The Wizard of Oz.

Museo Nazionale del Cinema
The museum is located inside the Mole Antonelliana, a bizarre and fascinating monument, symbol of the city of Turin, Italy. And for fashion lovers, this space offers a series of dresses, suits, objects, and accessories belonging to films that have earned a place in the history of Italian cinema, as well as a true international impact.
