Conviction: Stella McCartney
Share
With a legacy in her veins and a steady career, the designer continues her sustainable commitment
Although it is said that her parents did their best to keep her away from the hustle and bustle of the entertainment world, Stella soon faced the double-edged sword of fame.
On the one hand, she is the daughter of a Beatle, Paul McCartney, probably one of the most famous musicians and faces of all time. And on the other, the platform that this means for achieving your dreams. Perhaps faster or perhaps more media-driven.
Of course, no one denies that she earned her place in the fashion industry as a designer. And that, although the spotlight has followed her since her beginnings, it has been her work that has positioned her as one of the most relevant designers in the United Kingdom in recent decades.

The beginnings
As a teenager, she joined Christian Lacroix as an intern; Stella began to make her way among the greats and after her time at the renowned Central Saint Martins design school in the British capital (whose graduation show included Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell themselves) she debuted as creative director of the Chloé brand.
Her own DNA
In 2001, the designer launched her eponymous brand. Since then, the brand has remained true to its principles; it was one of the first fashion houses to publicly distance itself from animal cruelty. Thus refusing the use of furs and taking steps towards a more sustainable industry, by betting on a luxury sector that could compete through alternative materials.

The brand today
With minimalist forms that can also be combined with more complex structures, but always with a clean style, the brand today has a wide range of fashion content that includes: ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, children's lines and, of course, a long collaboration with Adidas, all with its own stamp.
Yes, a designer with conviction from the beginning.
