Un guiño al pasado

A nod to the past

The Eighties Take Over Fashion in 2026.

Last year was marked by different trends, characterized by offering diverse styles, adaptable to any silhouette and interest. Among them, a nod to the eighties decade that - in full 2026 - seems to resurface with all its force.

And it couldn't be any other way. It was the golden age for the generation born between 1960 and 1970, where radio and cassette use set the musical pace; the decade that saw the birth of various names as pop icons and also the craze for magazines. From synthesizers to sneakers, tights or neon colors, ten years marked by total extravagance.

If all the above seems familiar (or even a little exaggerated), the good news is that, within the universe of current fashion, the eighties are present through nods that adapt to contemporary style and, of course, to the taste of anyone who wants to incorporate them into their wardrobe.

Let's look at three inevitable and incredible examples.

The Corset

Just take a look at retro recordings to find a young Madonna, full of impetus singing songs like Into the Groove or Like a Virgin. Immediately, an iconic garment comes to mind: the corset. This year, fashion shows and the streets have spoken out in favor of this element presented in its most casual or sophisticated form.

Ribbons, Bows and Ruffles

Volatile blouses or those with a defined structure are a must for the season. Since last winter, we have already seen a series of garments that included bows and some medium-sized ribbons as protagonists. Also, Victorian-style blouses with their feminine ruffles, just as women wore them in the eighties.

Prominent Shoulder Pads

And of course, one of the most important nods to that decade. Shoulder pads, achieving an effect of total structure, as well as width in the back. The more exaggerated, the better, that was the rule at the time. This 2026, shoulder pads return with more prudence but as an insignia element for those who wish to catch glances.
