The fashion business incubator that promotes Mexican talent.
Intermoda, the National Chamber of the Clothing Industry, Jalisco Delegation (CANAIVE) and designer Benito Santos have joined forces to develop IM Mentoring, a fashion business incubator.
The project consists of promoting five designers from Jalisco, who will develop fashion collections with a commercial vision.
These will be presented through two catwalks, one per season, the first being Autumn/Winter in July 2023 and the second Spring/Summer in January 2024.
The selected firms are: Paulina Luna, Prisma, Jacobo sin A, Raúl Orozco and Panuco.
The mentoring process consists of five stages: design, pattern making, technical specifications and business partners, editorial looks with finished samples and finally the presentation of the projects.
The first edition of IM Mentoring begins on Monday, May 8 and ends on Monday, July 10, prior to the 79th edition of Intermoda.
Designers will receive 120 hours of support, spread over 10 weeks.
The total value of the project focused on the 5 designers is $800,000.00 pesos.
The collections of the 5 creatives will be presented on Tuesday, July 18 at 12:00 noon, during the inaugural catwalk of designer Benito Santos, within the framework of Intermoda 79.
