Moda con acento virtual

Fashion with a virtual accent

Mixed reality was experienced at Intermoda, surprising all its visitors.

Future, avant-garde and innovation are key words to understand Intermoda.

The most important fashion business event in Latin America is proof of the constant changes required by the industry, and one of the representative examples was the surprising virtual reality that was experienced in Trend Zone during the 81st edition, through the Fashion VR Experience.

To find out more details, we spoke to Ricardo Arzola, director of BichiSoul, a partner in this project full of technology and emotion that also included the participation of Browzwear, all under the impetus of Intermoda.

What did this experience consist of?

“We did what is called mixed reality, that is, we mixed reality with the virtual world. When visiting Intermoda, we had the opportunity to explore a space where we could see materials and at the same time be accompanied by animated models, creating a personalized catwalk (…) it was possible to appreciate fabrics, textures and details through lenses that allow us to see the environment, while at the same time mixing them with three-dimensional elements.”

The location was Trend Zone, a space full of trends within Intermoda…

“It was the best place to do it and showcase this type of innovation where attendees had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a virtual environment.”

What are the benefits that mixed reality and technology offer to entrepreneurs within the industry?

“One of the most important is the question of resources. For example, you can have a whole catalogue of your clothes on a single device that you can not only view, but you can also walk through it and pay attention to the volume, its movements or the behaviour of the fabric, even the fitting (…) that is, you can preview your collection or add it to your virtual store. In ecological, economic and creative terms, you have multiple benefits.”

Intermoda is a trade fair characterised by the avant-garde. How did the team experience this collaboration?

“Intermoda demands a high level of quality and we were delighted to participate because we like the challenge. The feeling was knowing that we are innovating in a very relevant space; it was full of people, reacting very well to this experience.”

….

Did you know that…

Through virtual reality lenses, visitors who lived this experience had the opportunity to explore looks designed by the participating IM Mentoring firms: Raúl Orozco, Jacobo sin A, Prisma Colectivo and Paulina Luna.
