Sustainable path

Industries are facing a new reality. Let's talk about it.

In 2023, it is practically obligatory to follow a trend. Perhaps the most relevant of recent years: sustainability. Yes, like other industries worldwide, fashion and its extensive value chain have paid attention (like never before) to this issue.

Unlike trends that seem to replicate themselves and then disappear, sustainability is here to stay. Or that is what is desired and pushed thanks to the awakening of countless people in all corners of our planet.

With concrete actions, various sectors have launched a work plan that must be adhered to, providing understanding and, above all, action to generate both solutions and responses.

In the international fashion industry, the topic is extremely broad and among the actions that bring us closer to sustainable fashion, a sustainable reality as well as a context that fosters a better environmental scenario, are:

Raw materials

Ask yourself, where do the textiles and products you use to make your clothes come from? What processes do they have? We invite you to investigate and connect with suppliers who have real processes in favor of this cause.

Recycle, reuse and reduce

Existing garments can be the starting point for generating new collections; giving a piece a new chance, instead of throwing it away, can be the basic principle of a long chain of benefits for everyone.

Smart fashion, responsible consumption

The fast fashion model is increasingly being left behind. In this sense, it is suggested to produce and/or buy garments in a more intelligent way. It is obligatory to ask ourselves: What is its quality like? How many years can it last? What life will it have for the end customer?

Committed events

Attending fairs like Intermoda , which already has a commitment to sustainability and a legacy. Starting with its 79th edition, Intermoda begins a journey towards a Net Zero, Zero Waste, accessible, diverse and inclusive event. The goal? To become the first sustainable exhibition in the meetings industry in all of LATAM.

...
Yes, the current path is sustainable and there is still much to do. Are you in?
