Amor a la mascada

Love of the scarf

A classic and essential accessory to accentuate your style.

When we think of a garment that is as classic as it is timeless (not to say eternal), we may think of the scarf or handkerchief on different actresses or movie characters.

Although they are two different pieces, they sometimes share materials and also some uses.

That said, we can confirm that they are not synonymous, but very similar accessories that cannot be missing from the wardrobe of both men and women. Why? Well, they are pieces that elevate a sober look or become accents within the same color palette and even contrasts when the base of the outfit has a solid color.

Dare

Sometimes we buy these pieces without using them regularly. They also usually come into our hands as a gift. Our recommendation? Don't let them stay stored away in a drawer. Their fabric is usually soft to the touch, with bright colors or striking prints. Dare to use scarves or handkerchiefs, you'll achieve a different look.

Similarities and differences

The handkerchief is mostly made of silk. It can be worn around the neck by tying a few knots or simply folded, which ends up looking beautiful as a “necklace.” When they are pocket sized, they are used to clean the nose or face.

In their large version, scarves also help to cover part of the head, the face or the entire upper area by making it into a turban, accentuating femininity and becoming an accomplice when styling the hair.

The scarf is also usually made of silk or other soft fabrics; larger than the handkerchief, it is used in a triangle or taking advantage of its square shape in different applications that serve and become an important adornment.
