Colombia bringing good proposals.

The Colombian fashion industry will be represented once again. The dynamics of the sector, driven by Procolombia (formerly Proexport) will bring the attendance of 32 fashion enterprises from the cities of Cali, Medellin, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cucuta, and of course, Bogota.

Designer’s names who have previously participated at Intermoda are being mentioned once again in the media that covers the event; among them are Lina Lemus, from Cucuta, a designer who has succeeded in this trade show and whose design stands out for its linen-based textiles. She currently has clients from the main touristic spots in Mexico. On the other hand, we have Rebeca Rojas from Barranquilla, who will showcase an exhibit today at 16:00. She works with natural fibers, and her line stands out for its versatility, as her designs can be used for any occasion, ranging from weddings to cocktail parties; she designs for women who want to radiate elegance on every occasion.

The director of Procolombia in Mexico, Mr. Sergio Escobar, along with Octavio Acevedo, coordinator of the clothing and textile sector, will join the Colombian delegation at this business venture that has already seen success, as the Mexican consumer has identified deeply with these kind of garments. For the second time, the Colombian pavilion will be located at Gran Salon Jalisco and not at Salon Guadalajara.

Among the products that our South American exhibitors will be showcasing are traditional lingerie and fine corsets, denim (jeans, belts, male and female underwear), beachwear, sportswear, fine costume jewelry, and three supply companies that produce clothing manufacturing inputs.

At IM Intermoda we know of the importance of gathering the best entities of fashion, not only nationally, but internationally as well, with the goal of moving forward in a global fashion industry, and providing these spaces is of the uttermost importance to strengthen commercial relationships.

As a new feature, there will be a stand offering gourmet Colombian coffee, as this country is a main producer of different kinds of coffee. Be sure to visit this pavilion, where you will find products that fit your business and will also give you the opportunity of making new friends.
