With the strong commitment of strengthening business in the Mexican industry, IM Intermoda, the biggest tradeshow in the Latin American fashion industry, presents its 62nd edition, within the framework of the CRECE campaign as its new image. The expo will take place at the premises of Expo Guadalajara from January 13th to the 16th.
For this edition, the Trending IM zone remains, a unique venue in Mexico where national and foreign companies can showcase products that comply with the highest fashion trend standards and be seen by the major national and international buyers that visit this exhibit. On this occasion, Trending IM will showcase fabrics and designs conceived for the seasons Spring-Summer 2015 and Fall-Winter 2015/2016.
The Designer’s Corner, which is a consolidated and renowned project known for providing strong support for Mexican designers, is also part of this venue; its main objective is to position their brands at the national and international level. Here is where national designers will get together with their most recent proposals, among whom will be Diana Altamirano, Prisma, Aline Moreno, Angel Grave, Juan Manuel Bautista, Karma Leve, y Talasemia.
Another part of the fair is the Chou Room, a business platform developed for the brands that focus on Street wear in our country. They will be able to showcase their creations, collections, and trends, showing the innovations in products related to this kind of apparel before the national market.
The trade show has the purpose of supporting a number of actions under the CRECE concept, with the objective of boosting the businesses of Intermoda’s exhibitors and buyers, under the coordination of IM Intermoda’s new president Héctor Reyes Camarena. Among these arrangements, some that stand out are the change in strategy for the event’s communication and promotion, a bigger investment and specialization in digital media, a specialized area for business meetings, the creation of a specialized magazine with information related to fashion and trends, as well as a gazette containing technical and economic topics, a wider dissemination of the different exhibit areas, a complete redesign of the runway and trending areas, the pre-launching of new sections within the tradeshow, the creation of an introduction room for new business people from this sector, and to become attractive for new brands and exhibitors at the national and international level.
“We look for the growth of our exhibitors, of the number of buyers, and of our sector, and above all, we look for the growth in the quantity of businesses that are launched from this platform”, said Héctor Reyes.
“On this occasion, there is an international presence of companies from: Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Spain, U.S., India, and Panama, and there will also be halls of new businesses in the women’s, men’s, children’s, accessories, footwear, procurement, and international sections, distributed among 1500 stands located throughout the 40 thousand square meters of surface area at Expo Guadalajara”, added the president of Intermoda.
21 runways will showcase the new upcoming season trends, and there will be nine key note speeches on international business and fashion trends, with renowned speakers such as: Álvaro Rattinger, Miguel Ángel Andreu, Pablo Román, Anna Fusoni, Francisco Javier López, Rosalina Villanueva, and Samuel Padilla.
“The closing runway will be headlined by the acclaimed Mexican designer Rolando Santana, who will showcase his Spring-Summer 2015 collection. It is a great honor to have this designer in attendance, since he has been involved in the fashion world within our boarders and abroad since he was very young”, said Héctor Reyes.
950 exhibitors are expected to attend, as well as around 23,000 visitors and buyers, in wide spaces and areas of opportunity for every kind of business and talent.
